Engaging in conflict
Beefing is having a conflict or ongoing dispute with someone.
The term comes from beef as slang for a complaint or grievance.
In hip-hop culture especially, beefing describes public feuds between artists: Drake and Kendrick have been beefing for years.
More casually, it just means arguing or having problems with someone: Why are you two always beefing?
