battery cable
Terminal-to-terminal connector
A battery cable is a heavy-gauge electrical wire that connects a vehicle's battery to its electrical system.
The positive cable typically runs to the starter motor, while the negative cable grounds to the engine block or chassis.
Battery cables must handle high current loads, so they're thicker than standard wiring: The car wouldn't start because of a corroded battery cable.
