barrel roll
Airplane spiral stunt
A barrel roll is an aerial maneuver in which an aircraft rotates 360 degrees around its longitudinal axis while maintaining its general flight path—tracing a corkscrew through the air.
The term extends to similar spinning maneuvers in video games, skateboarding, and other contexts: Do a barrel roll!
In casual use, barrel roll describes any dramatic spinning action: The car hit the guardrail and did a barrel roll.
