White Walkers
Frozen undead army
White Walkers are supernatural ice creatures from the television series *Game of Thrones* and George R.R.
Martin's novels.
Ancient and malevolent, they command armies of the undead and represent an existential threat from the frozen north.
The term sometimes appears in broader cultural references to describe any looming, inevitable danger that people ignore at their peril: Climate change is the White Walker of our generation.
