aquaculturing
Raising aquatic life
Aquaculturing is the practice of farming aquatic organisms—fish, shellfish, seaweed, and other marine or freshwater life.
The term covers everything from small-scale fish ponds to industrial shrimp operations: The company has been aquaculturing salmon in coastal waters for two decades.
Also called aquafarming.
