anti-Soviet

Opposing the Kremlin

Anti-Soviet describes opposition to the Soviet Union, its communist government, or its policies.

The term was common during the Cold War to characterize dissidents, resistance movements, and Western political positions: anti-Soviet propaganda, anti-Soviet sentiment in Eastern Europe.

Since the USSR's dissolution in 1991, the word appears mainly in historical contexts.
