angiograms

Artery visualization scans

Angiograms are X-ray images of blood vessels, produced by injecting a contrast dye that makes arteries and veins visible.

Doctors use them to detect blockages, aneurysms, or other vascular abnormalities: The angiogram revealed a narrowed coronary artery.

The procedure itself is called angiography.
