angiograph

Blood vessel scan

An angiograph is an X-ray image of blood vessels, produced by injecting a contrast dye that makes arteries and veins visible.

The technique helps diagnose blockages, aneurysms, and other vascular conditions: The angiograph revealed a narrowing in the coronary artery.

Also called an angiogram.
