allelic
Of alternative forms
Allelic means relating to or involving alleles—the different versions of a gene that can occupy the same position on a chromosome.
In genetics, allelic variation explains why siblings inherit different traits from the same parents: The disease results from allelic differences at a single gene locus.
Two genes are allelic if they represent alternative forms of the same genetic information.
