sex-linked
Inherited via X/Y
Sex-linked describes a genetic trait carried on a sex chromosome, usually the X chromosome.
Because males have only one X chromosome, they're more likely to express recessive sex-linked traits like color blindness or hemophilia: Hemophilia is a sex-linked disorder that predominantly affects males.
Females, with two X chromosomes, are more often carriers than affected.
