Yukon River
Northern Canadian artery
The Yukon River is a major waterway flowing roughly 1,980 miles from British Columbia through Yukon Territory and Alaska to the Bering Sea.
It was a primary route during the Klondike Gold Rush and remains central to the region's geography and indigenous cultures: salmon runs on the Yukon, villages along the Yukon River.
