Yao Ming
Towering Houston center
Yao Ming is a Chinese former professional basketball player who played center for the Houston Rockets from 2002 to 2011.
Standing 7'6", he was one of the tallest players in NBA history and became a global ambassador for basketball in China.
His name is associated with a popular internet meme featuring his grinning face, used to express smug amusement or dismissiveness: Yao Ming face.
