Windows Vista

Post-XP operating system

Windows Vista is a Microsoft operating system released in 2007, succeeding Windows XP.

It introduced visual refinements and security features but became notorious for sluggish performance, hardware incompatibility, and intrusive security prompts.

Vista is often remembered as a cautionary tale in software releases: My laptop came with Vista and I immediately downgraded to XP.
