deprecated
Marked for removal
Deprecated describes something formally discouraged or marked for eventual removal.
In computing, a deprecated function still works but shouldn't be used in new code because a better alternative exists or support will end: That API method is deprecated—use the new one instead.
More broadly, to deprecate is to express disapproval of something, though this sense is fading as the technical meaning dominates.
