Vietnam War protests
Sixties peace marches
Vietnam War protests were the demonstrations, marches, and acts of civil disobedience opposing U.S. military involvement in Vietnam, peaking between 1965 and 1973.
The movement began on college campuses and grew to include mass mobilizations: Hundreds of thousands joined the Vietnam War protests in Washington.
Draft card burnings, sit-ins, and the 1970 Kent State shootings became defining images of the era.
