napalm

Jellied gasoline weapon

Napalm is a highly flammable jellied gasoline used in incendiary bombs and flamethrowers.

It clings to surfaces and skin while burning at extreme temperatures, making it devastatingly effective and controversial as a weapon.

The term became synonymous with the horrors of the Vietnam War, where it was used extensively: The village was hit with napalm.

To napalm is to attack with the substance.
