UN General Assembly
World nations forum
The UN General Assembly is the main deliberative body of the United Nations, where all 193 member states have equal representation and one vote each.
It meets annually in New York to debate international issues, pass non-binding resolutions, and approve the UN budget.
The resolution passed the UN General Assembly by a wide margin.
Unlike the Security Council, it has no veto power structure.
