T-bone
Letter-shaped cut
T-bone names a cut of beef steak containing a T-shaped bone with meat on both sides—strip steak on one, tenderloin on the other.
The shape gives the name: a perfectly grilled T-bone.
As a verb, to T-bone is to collide with the side of another vehicle at a perpendicular angle, forming a T shape: A truck T-boned her car at the intersection.
