Show Boat

Riverboat with stage

A show boat is a river vessel, especially on the Mississippi, that carried theatrical troupes to perform at towns along the route—floating theaters bringing entertainment to areas without permanent stages.

By extension, a showboat is someone who performs flamboyantly to attract attention: He's such a showboat on the basketball court.

The verb means to show off ostentatiously.
