showboaters
Glory hogs aplenty
Showboaters are people who perform or behave in flashy, attention-seeking ways.
The term carries a note of criticism—showboaters prioritize being noticed over substance or teamwork: The coach benched the showboaters who wouldn't pass the ball.
Athletes, politicians, and performers all get called showboaters when their style seems more about self-promotion than the task at hand.
