Seraph

Heavenly character title

A seraph is an angelic being of the highest order, traditionally depicted with six wings and standing in the presence of God.

The word comes from Hebrew and appears in Isaiah's vision, where seraphim cry "Holy, holy, holy." In broader use, seraph describes any angel or someone of angelic purity: She looked like a seraph in that white gown.

Plural: seraphim or seraphs.
