Sapporo

Hokkaido's largest city

Sapporo is the largest city on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island, and the country's fifth-largest city.

It hosted the 1972 Winter Olympics and is known for its annual snow festival.

Sapporo is also Japan's most famous beer brand, named for the city where it was first brewed: I'll have a Sapporo.
