SLAC
Stanford linear accelerator
SLAC is the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, a U.S.
Department of Energy research facility in California.
It houses one of the longest linear particle accelerators in the world, used for physics experiments involving electrons and positrons.
Now officially SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, the acronym persists: She did her postdoc at SLAC.
