Long Island lab
Brookhaven is a place name for several American towns and cities, most notably a town on Long Island in New York State.
The Brookhaven National Laboratory, a major federal research facility, is located there.
We drove out to Brookhaven for the weekend.
The name also appears in other states, including Georgia and Mississippi.
