Rhône
Alpine-born French river
The Rhône is a major European river flowing from the Swiss Alps through southeastern France to the Mediterranean.
The Rhône Valley is one of France's premier wine regions, producing renowned reds and whites: a northern Rhône Syrah, Côtes du Rhône.
The name also designates a French département.
