Fire-themed game class
Pyro is informal shorthand for pyromaniac—someone with a compulsive urge to start fires, or more loosely, anyone fascinated by fire: My little brother's a total pyro.
In gaming and online contexts, pyro often refers to a character class specializing in fire-based attacks.
As a prefix, pyro- relates to fire or heat: pyrotechnics, pyroclastic.
