Professional blast artist
A pyrotechnician is a person who designs, builds, or operates fireworks and other explosive displays.
The term covers professionals working in entertainment—stage shows, concerts, film special effects—as well as those producing commercial fireworks displays: The pyrotechnician coordinated the Fourth of July show.
Also called a pyrotechnic technician or, less formally, a pyro.
