Paris Peace Accords
Vietnam War treaty
The Paris Peace Accords were the 1973 agreements that officially ended direct U.S. military involvement in the Vietnam War.
Signed by the United States, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong, they established a ceasefire and called for the withdrawal of American troops.
The accords failed to bring lasting peace—North Vietnam conquered South Vietnam two years later.
