Notting Hill

West London district

Notting Hill is a district in west London known for its colorful Victorian townhouses, the Portobello Road street market, and the annual Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest street festival celebrating Caribbean culture.

Once a working-class neighborhood with a significant West Indian immigrant population, it became increasingly affluent through gentrification in the late 20th century.

The area gained international recognition from the 1999 romantic comedy of the same name.
