My Chemical Romance
"Black Parade" performers
My Chemical Romance is an American rock band formed in 2001, known for theatrical, emotionally intense music that became central to the emo and pop-punk movements of the 2000s.
Their album *The Black Parade* (2006) achieved widespread critical and commercial success.
The band's fanbase, devoted and distinctive, helped define a subculture of black clothing, dramatic aesthetics, and earnest emotional expression: I was obsessed with My Chemical Romance in high school.
