Moldovans
Eastern European people
Moldovans are the people of Moldova, a small landlocked country in Eastern Europe between Romania and Ukraine.
The term refers both to citizens of Moldova and to the ethnic group that forms its majority population.
Moldovans share close linguistic and cultural ties with Romanians, and whether Moldovan constitutes a distinct identity or is essentially Romanian remains politically contested.
