Dniester

Flows to Odessa

The Dniester is a river in Eastern Europe, flowing roughly 850 miles from the Carpathian Mountains in western Ukraine through Moldova to the Black Sea.

It forms much of the border between Moldova and Ukraine.

The Transnistria region takes its name from the river, referring to the land beyond the Dniester from Moldova's perspective.
