Mogul
Delhi throne holder
A mogul is a powerful, influential person in business or industry: a Hollywood mogul, a media mogul.
The term derives from the Mughal emperors who ruled much of India for centuries, suggesting comparable wealth and dominance in one's domain.
Separately, moguls are the bumps that form on ski slopes from repeated use, creating a challenging terrain for skiers.
