mogul skiing
Knees absorb bumps
Mogul skiing is a freestyle skiing discipline where skiers descend a slope covered with moguls—rounded mounds of snow formed by repeated turns.
Competitors navigate the bumps at speed while executing aerial tricks off jumps, judged on technique, speed, and style: She dominated mogul skiing at the Olympics.
The moguls themselves test a skier's knees and absorption technique.
