Mel Brooks

Mel Brooks is an American comedian, filmmaker, actor, and writer known for comedic films that parody established genres, including *Blazing Saddles*, *Young Frankenstein*, and *The Producers*.

Born Melvin Kaminsky in 1926, he became one of the few entertainers to achieve EGOT status, winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards.

His humor is characterized by irreverence, wordplay, and willingness to mock sacred cows.

That joke was pure Mel Brooks.
