The Producers
Show money people
The Producers is a 1967 Mel Brooks comedy film about a theatrical producer and his accountant who scheme to oversell shares in a Broadway musical designed to fail.
The title became shorthand for any deliberately terrible venture meant to profit from failure.
Brooks adapted it into a successful Broadway musical in 2001, which was itself later filmed.
