Judd Apatow
Judd Apatow is an American filmmaker and producer known for comedies that blend raunchy humor with emotional sincerity.
His films—*The 40-Year-Old Virgin*, *Knocked Up*, *Superbad*—helped define a style of extended improvisation and male vulnerability that dominated 2000s comedy.
As a producer, he's launched numerous comedy careers.
His name often serves as shorthand for a certain brand of heartfelt raunch: It's very Judd Apatow—dick jokes, then someone cries.
