Hofmann's bicycle day
LSD-25 is the chemical designation for lysergic acid diethylamide, a powerful psychedelic drug that alters perception, mood, and cognition.
The "25" refers to it being the twenty-fifth compound in a series synthesized by chemist Albert Hofmann in 1938.
In common usage, the drug is simply called LSD or acid.
Even in tiny doses measured in micrograms, it produces vivid hallucinations and profound changes in consciousness lasting many hours.
