Kosovo War

NATO bombed Serbia

The Kosovo War was an armed conflict fought in 1998–1999 between Yugoslav and Serbian forces and the Kosovo Liberation Army, an ethnic Albanian insurgent group seeking independence for Kosovo.

NATO intervened with a bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999, leading to the withdrawal of Serbian forces and the establishment of UN administration over the territory.

The war resulted in widespread atrocities, mass displacement, and eventual Kosovo independence in 2008, though Serbia and some nations still do not recognize it.
