webtoon
Scrolling online comic
A webtoon is a digital comic designed for reading on smartphones and computers, typically formatted as a single vertical strip that readers scroll through rather than flip pages.
The format originated in South Korea and has become globally popular for serialized stories across genres—romance, fantasy, horror, action: I binge-read that webtoon in one night. (Capitalized Webtoon is the platform.)
