Klingon language

Fictional alien speech

The Klingon language is a constructed language created for the Star Trek franchise, designed to sound alien and harsh.

Linguist Marc Okrand developed it with unusual grammatical features and guttural sounds.

Unlike most fictional languages, Klingon has a devoted following of fluent speakers, a translation of Hamlet, and its own dictionary: He learned to speak Klingon fluently.
