Jackalope
Capitalized mythical creature
A jackalope is a mythical creature of American folklore—a jackrabbit with antelope horns.
The legend originated in Wyoming in the 1930s, spawning taxidermy hoaxes and tourist kitsch across the American West.
The jackalope has become an emblem of tall tales and roadside Americana: We stopped at a gift shop selling jackalope postcards.
