Iggy Pop

Shirtless punk patriarch

Iggy Pop is the stage name of James Osterberg, an American rock musician known as the "Godfather of Punk." As frontman of the Stooges in the late 1960s and early '70s, his raw vocals and wild performances—often shirtless, cutting himself, diving into crowds—helped define punk rock before the term existed.

His solo career, including collaborations with David Bowie, cemented his influence on alternative and punk music.
