The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan, competing in the National Football League's NFC North division.
Founded in 1930, the franchise is known for hosting annual Thanksgiving Day games and for a long championship drought—they won four NFL titles in the 1950s but none since.
