Jim Morrison
Jim Morrison was the lead singer and lyricist of the American rock band the Doors, known for his baritone voice, poetic lyrics, and volatile stage presence.
His death in Paris in 1971 at age twenty-seven, combined with his self-destructive mystique, made him an enduring symbol of 1960s counterculture excess: He fancied himself the next Jim Morrison.
