Huckleberry Finn
Huckleberry Finn is the protagonist of Mark Twain's 1884 novel *Adventures of Huckleberry Finn*, often considered a masterpiece of American literature.
Huck is a resourceful, uneducated boy who escapes his abusive father and travels down the Mississippi River on a raft with Jim, an escaped slave.
The novel is celebrated for its vernacular narration and critique of racism, though it remains controversial for its frequent use of racial slurs.
The character also appears in *The Adventures of Tom Sawyer*.
