Harvey Weinstein
Harvey Weinstein is an American film producer whose 2017 exposure as a serial sexual predator catalyzed the #MeToo movement.
Once among Hollywood's most powerful figures, he produced Oscar-winning films through Miramax and The Weinstein Company.
His conviction for rape and sexual assault made his name shorthand for abuses of power in the entertainment industry: Hollywood's Weinstein moment, the Weinstein effect.
