Hannukkah

Jewish winter celebration

Hannukkah is an alternative spelling of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem in the second century BCE.

The holiday falls in November or December and is marked by lighting candles on a menorah, one additional candle each night.

Also spelled Chanukah.
