Channukah

Jewish winter celebration

Channukah is a variant spelling of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

The spelling variations—Chanukah, Hannukah, Channukah—reflect different transliterations of the Hebrew letter chet.

We lit the Channukah candles each night.
