Godiva

Luxurious chocolate brand

Godiva refers to Lady Godiva, an 11th-century English noblewoman who, according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry to protest her husband's oppressive taxation.

The story gives us Peeping Tom—the tailor who violated the townspeople's agreement to avert their eyes and was struck blind.

Godiva appears in brand names, most notably the Belgian chocolatier, and sometimes describes public nudity as protest or spectacle: She went full Godiva at the demonstration.
